1. Choose a theme or goal for your vision board

Before gathering inspiration and images, it’s important to have a clear focus for your vision board. What do you want to achieve or manifest in your life? What are your goals and aspirations?

Narrow down the focus of your vision board by selecting a theme like furthering your career, growing as a person, or journeying to far-off places. Alternatively, pinpoint an objective such as amassing wealth, toning up, or turning yourself into an expert on something.

Having a theme or goal will help you stay focused and motivated as you create your vision board. It will also make finding images and ideas that align with your intentions easier.

2. Gather inspiration and images from Pinterest or other sources

Now it’s time to start collecting images and ideas for your vision board. There are two main ways to do this: by finding and adding photos inside Pinterest or by finding and adding photos outside of Pinterest.

Find and add photos INSIDE Pinterest:

Pinterest is great for finding inspiration and ideas for your vision board. Here are a few ways to gather images from Pinterest:

  • Utilize the search tool to pinpoint exact words and ideas relevant to your vision board. For instance, if you’re constructing a vision board related to your profession, you could try keywords like “career plans,” “personal growth,” or “workplace success.”
  • Explore Pinterest boards and pins related to your theme or goal. You can search for keywords or browse the suggested boards and pins.
  • Follow Pinterest boards and users that align with your vision board theme or goal. This will help you discover new ideas and inspiration as you create your vision board.

To add an image to your vision board, simply click on the pin and then click the “Save” button.

Or you can hover over an image until “Save” pops up and click on it without having to open each image. Just make sure the correct board is selected before you do.

You can also add words like “quotes, aesthetic, vibe, mood, midset, goals,” etc.

Find and add photos OUTSIDE of Pinterest:

You can also gather images and ideas from other sources outside of Pinterest. This can be especially useful if you have specific images or pictures in mind that you don’t see on Pinterest (I doubt it?).

Here are a few ways to find and add photos outside of Pinterest:

  • Use a search engine like Google to find images related to your vision board theme or goal.
  • Save images from websites, blogs, or social media platforms to your computer or phone. Then, you can upload them to your vision board on Pinterest.

To add a photo to your vision board from your computer or phone, click on the “Add” button on your vision board and select “Upload a Pin.” Then, choose the image file from your device, fill out the title, description, and link (if you want to) and click “Save.”

Use Pinterest’s “Secret Board” Feature

If you don’t want to share your inspirations publically, you can always use the “secret board” feature on Pinterest. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Make your board a “secret board” by clicking on the three dots at the top of your board and selecting “keep this board secret.” This will give you the freedom to concentrate on your own goals without worrying about others seeing them.
  2. Add your images and ideas to your secret board as you normally would. You can use the search bar, explore related boards and pins, or upload your own photos.
  3. When you’re ready to share your vision board with others, you can make it a public board by going to the same settings and selecting unchecking the toggle. Before you make your board public, just keep in mind that from that point on, anyone can see it.

It’s a great way to keep your vision boards private and focused on your goals and aspirations. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to experiment and try out different ideas without worrying about what others think! So why not give it a go?

3. Organize and arrange your images

Once you have a few images that fit with your vision board theme, it’s time to start getting creative. Think of the best way to arrange these photos to form a meaningful and powerful representation of your aspirations.

Tip: you can drag the images around inside your board by clicking, holding and moving a pin to the desired position!

Remember, it’s about quality, not quantity. You can create something amazing with just a few images! Here are a few tips to help you do this quickly:

  • Don’t worry about perfection. Your vision board is meant to be a personal and creative expression of your goals and aspirations. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
  • Be selective with your images. You don’t need to use every single image you gather. Choose the ones that truly resonate with you and help you visualize your goals and dreams.
  • Group related pins together. This will help create a sense of coherence and flow on your vision board.
  • Experiment with different layouts and arrangements. Arrange by style, size, color, theme, etc.

Save and share your completed vision board on Pinterest or elsewhere:

Once you’ve finished creating your vision board, it’s time to save and share it! Simply click three dots and then the “Share” button on your vision board and choose the platform you want to share it to.

Tips for keeping your vision board up to-date and effective

Your vision board is a living and evolving tool that should reflect your current goals and aspirations.

Here are a few tips for keeping your vision board up-to-date and effective:

  • It is important to review your vision board regularly to ensure that you stay motivated and determined on your journey. Through this review process, you can check in with yourself to make sure that the goals displayed on your board line up with your core values and priorities. This will also help you track progress and celebrate successes along the way!
  • Update your vision board as needed. As you achieve your goals or have new ideas and aspirations, you can add or remove images and elements from your vision board.

We hope these tips have helped you create a quick and easy vision board on Pinterest!

Remember, a vision board is a personal and creative expression of your goals and aspirations. Have fun with it and make it your own!
